From May 13 to 16, the 2024 Online Training on New Energy for Belt and Road Countries was jointly held by the China-Arab States Technology Transfer Center and the Shanghai Science and Technology Exchange Center with the participation of more than 50 trainees from Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Sudan and Nigeria.

  This training was tailored in terms of the technological needs of the Belt and Road partner countries, with abundant content focusing on biomass energy, solar energy, and hydrogen energy. Aiming to pass on knowledge with full integration of theory and practice, the training invited experts from Fudan University, Tongji University, Yangtze Institute for Solar Technology and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and entrepreneurs from Wanbang Digital Energy Co., Ltd. and Q-SUN Anhui Co., Ltd. During the training, they respectively introduced research progress on anaerobic biotransformation of organic solid waste, technology transfer and industrialization path of bionatural gas, solar power conversion efficiency, production and processing of photovoltaic modules, research and application of electrolytic water catalyzes electrodes, new-generation “optical storage charging and discharging” microgrid system, and photovoltaic modules.

  The training, through well-designed lectures and presentations given by experts and entrepreneurs, has enriched the participants’ knowledge and broadened their systematic understanding of new energy, promoting the exchanges and cooperation between China and Belt and Road partner countries, and deepening the Belt and Road cooperation for more practical outcomes.
