Scientific and technological cooperation between China and Arab states expanded to the field of landscaping and greening

On February 27, the China-Arab States Landscape Cooperation Agreement was signed by CASTTC, the China-Arab States (Dubai) Technology Transfer Center and Palm Horticulture Company in Yinchuan. Hence the scientific and technological cooperation between China and Arab states is expanded to the field of landscaping and greening.

According to the agreement, CASTTC, the China-Arab States (Dubai) Technology Transfer Center and Palm Horticulture Company will play to their respective strengths and join hands in the construction of urban infrastructure and ecological towns in the UAE. As the general coordinator, CASTTC will guide, coordinate and supervise the orderly operations of all parties, and entrusts Ningxia China-Arab States Technology Transfer Development Company to provide consulting services for relevant parties. As the demand-side, the China-Arab States (Dubai) Technology Transfer Center will provide necessary guarantees for the working parties in the UAE, including organization and management, communication and coordination, translation and liaison, visa application, accommodation and transportation, etc. While the Palm Horticulture Company will provide comprehensive services including landscape planning, on-site survey, design, construction, maintenance, operation, investment and financing, etc.

Since its establishment, CASTTC has been committed to building an international platform for technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation between China and Arab states. Through a series of activities around science and technology, the communication and connection of both sides have been strengthened. Previously, bilateral cooperation has been carried out in fields of disease prevention and pest control for date palms, dry land farming and water-conserving agriculture, IoT in agriculture, and potato planting etc., all of which have been fully recognized by the Arab side through local examination and demonstration. The signing of the agreement this time marks a new ground for the scientific and technological cooperation between China and Arab states.
